HP 60XL Black High-Yield Ink Cartridge

I'm a regular buyer of these - so far I've bought 12 of them over more than a decade, and have had no problem. I usually order one to keep on hand so I can replace when the current cartridge runs out of ink. In December 2021 I ordered one, and installed it at the end of 2022. It failed after about 2 pages, despite efforts to use the printer cleaning function, printing test pages, etc.When I examined the defective cartridge, I found the warranty expired in 2020 (see photos), a year before I even ordered it.I'll chalk this up to pandemic supply chain etc etc... but will update this if it happens again.

Prints fine, no leaks. I have an old printer so ink replacement is getting harder to find so I am glad these are still available. Printer is HP PhotoSmart D110a

It just works. It really ends up not being worth trying to buy "refurbished" or knock-off cartridges. Try to stick with HP, if you can afford it.

Took a lot of investigation to determine that the HP60XL is the replacement cartridge for the HP901XL for my Officejet 4500. It does fit and the printer accepted it so all good so far. Can't evaluate the longevity obviously. As always, the price is high, but no higher than any other site.

Not sure what to think!! Cartridge arrived in opened box and inner container and looks like it had probably been used. I'll have to use it very soon and I really hope that it was only tried and found to be wrong size. I would appreciate an explanation since I paid for a new cartridge!Obviously, I was right to hope the cartridge had not been used!!

I have had an issue with HP ink purchased at any other place than HP. The cartridges do not fit properly. Even had a feud on FB, and Twitter with them because of it so I have been scared to try any other provider. BUT, Amazon has come thru yet again. It fit, easily, and is doing well. Only used it for two weeks so I cannot answer to longevity. The price was within pennies of HP

It's printer ink! You know, the historically most overpriced component of any computer system?I purchase the XL version because size matters, and I like being able to get more out of 1 cartridge. This fits my printer nicely and does well at printing in basic black.I have learned that older print cartridges don't print as well, so stocking up if you find a good price doesn't help. As I put the backup cartridge into the machine, I order a new one to make sure I never run out. Pricing here is better than at local brick and mortar stores.

I usually buy these ink cartridges online because they are cheaper than in my local stores. I live in the Caribbean so I use a skybox to order items. Even with the extra shipping/tax and duty it is cheaper to buy these online. My problem is there is a 50/50 chance of these working. I ordered two of these the other day for my HP Deskjet F4200 Printer. The first cartridge was a DUD, it dind't work. All I received was an error. Thank goodness though the second cartridge was recognized instantly. I buy these brand new, as far as i could see these are NOT refills . I could be wrong. Amazon customer support was great though. They said they would refund me for the faulty cartridge. The XL does tend to hold a lot more ink than the regular. I did buy this from a seller on amazon, next time i will buy it directly from Amazon if they have in stock and for a reasonable price.

Never mind those printer ink cartridge knock offs. They aren't cheap if your printer says it's incompatible and flat out refuses to function at all. I had three different kinds of error messages with the knock offs, to the point where I thought the printer was toast. I needed a portable printer anyway, so bought another printer from Amazon, which, because I had Prime, arrived the next day, and was incredibly inexpensive on sale, for heavens sake. Next day after that, my HP cartridge arrived and the HP printer, properly chastened, performed immediately. Now I need to order up the combo color and black, just to have spare HP cartridges on hand. I love HP cartridges, you never need to worry about print quality or printer sending protests and caution signs to printer file, or not be able to get a reading on supply or amount of ink remaining. We had the same thing happen with my husband's printer, so we now know to use the genuine HP article....or else. :-)

This "used-very good condition" product came from lynko Express. With a brand new regular 60 black Hp cartridge from Wally, I was only getting about 20 text pages with the settings on economy. (big scam by HP)so I decided to give this used XL a try. I purchased 3 for a total of 34.23 including shipping. They have been working excellent, I've probably made about 200 pages so far. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that on these used cartridges the ink level does not work so I can't tell you how much Is left. Be careful of who you buy used or reman cartridges from!! I took a chance and went with the cheapest at the time and I will use lynko Express again.

If you print a lot, switch printers! If you can't, get the 60XL.I'm a law student, so I print often. DO NOT BUY THE 60 regular!!!!! BUY 60XL! I used to use the 60 regular (NOT XL) and had to change the cartridge every month. Once, I printed an outline that was 90 pages but ran out of ink at about the 88th sheet- INK GONE IN ONE DAY! So I switched to the 60XL and that lasted me about 3 months. It is definitely a better deal.With that being said, if it is at all possible to change printers, I'd recommend that you do it. I also bought a BROTHER laser printer and it is 1) incredibly fast, and 2) the ink lasts much longer.

4 not 5 stars b/c WE ALL HATE HP for sucking us into their printers and screwing us with their overpriced ink cartridges. We all know bargain and refill cartridges are a dice-roll. I currently have a DESKJET F4280. I used my first black ink 60xl and am WOWED by how much capacity it has, COMPARITIVELY, to the regular 60 - which SUCKS. I'm a grad student/adjunct teacher. I print constantly. This semester, for the first time, I wasn't running out of ink for lectures the morning of and having to rush to school in order to print in the labs. I teach 2 courses, printing roughly 8-15 pages (usually 1.5 spacing TNR 12pt) 2-3 times/weekly minimum; and have printed many articles, maybe a couple dozen, all at "Fast draft black & white" - the lowest ink-usage setting. That setting does the job and the cartridge lasted through the semester, just dying the day I turned in my grades! With the regular capacity cartridges with this printer and my old super-cheap HP printer I was running out of ink every two weeks unless I structured my life around printing at school.Bottom line: costs more, but its worth every penny - if you print b&w non-quality docs regularly.
